Too Close to Home

This work began as an exploration of human experience—how we interact with what is hidden, revealed, resisted, or unlocked. But as I built it, I realized that each drawer was not just a metaphor for a universal experience, but a reflection of my own. It became a diary, one not written in words, but in motion, touch, and discovery.
Each drawer contains a piece of my story—an aspect of myself that can only be understood through action. Some open easily, others resist. Some conceal, some reveal. Some only make sense in relation to another. The way a viewer interacts with them mirrors the way I have approached these parts of my life—tentative, forceful, curious, or hidden.
This is not a collection of objects; it is a map of personal experience. It invites curiosity but does not demand understanding. What you take from it depends on how you choose to engage—just as the stories of our lives unfold differently depending on how we open them..
